Over the last 30 years, the fields of
Psychotherapy and Neuroscience have
significantly developed. Building on the most important and enlightening studies on psychological health, Alessandro Carmelita and Marina Cirio have developed a new way of doing psychotherapy by working with patients in front of a mirror: this innovative approach has been named “Mindful Interbeing Mirror Therapy”.
According to the clinical observation that has been carried out over the past 5 years, this approach has proven to be very effective to treat many difficult clients.
This new, integrative approach combines several different aspects related to Interpersonal Neurobiology, the Polivagal Theory, The Still Face Paradigm, Mindfulness, Schema Therapy, Internal Family Systems Therapy, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Attachment, Psychodynamic and Conversational Therapy. The result is something unique, clear and very powerful, even with patients that are particularly difficult to treat.
Every phase of the Therapy – from the assessment to the end of the treatment – takes place in front of a mirror in a very specific way. The work on the different parts of the Self is systematic and always done in parallel with the work on the relationships, both from a bottom-up and top-down perspectives. This workshop aims to explain the theory, the origins and the procedures of this new therapeutic approach. Attending this workshop is mandatory to participate in a first level training course. During the workshop, the Trainers will show a series of videos and there will be time for several practical exercises to make it very experiential.
Be part of the first group of therapists who will be trained to apply this innovative approach!
